Administrative responsibilities of the RN Manager NICU include managing the department budget, implementing quality improvement initiatives, assisting with educational programming, ensuring state and regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures, department staffing, evaluations, and conflict resolution, cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and most importantly--acting as a leader, mentor, and resource for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team.
