Child Care Assistant Director for Kids Care After School Program
College Park Youth Services- After School Kids' Care Program:
This site services children who attend the nearby Hollywood E.S. in College Park, Maryland. The facility offers a licensed After School Care program which has a partnership with College Park Youth Services.
Child Care After-School Assistant Director - ($15.00/hr.-$17.65/hr.)
Job Description: An After School Assistant Director is the administrator responsible for Kids' Care program planning, and environments. Assistant Directors may also serve as the Kids' Care After School Leader for the program in the absence of the Child Care Director.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be 21 years of age
* Valid driver's license or the ability to acquire one.
* High School Diploma or GED
* Atleast1yearofexperienceinaleadershiprolewithinachildcaresetting
* Must have 45 clock hours of child development (birth-school age) and 45 clock hours of school age curriculum and 40 to 45 hours of approved administrative training and 9 hours of communication training; or hold an AA degree or higher with approved courses in recreation or school-aged training. Must have one year of experience working in a licensed program with school aged children.
* Successfully complete 12 clock hours of approved continued training every year.
* KnowledgeofMarylandStateDepartmentofEducationchildcarelicensingregulations
* Strongleadership,communication,andorganizationalskills
* Willing to work the hours of 1:30- 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday and/or up to 25 hours weekly
* Have transportation to get to/from work and retrieve snacks at the nearby school.
