**Job Description**

Work with a world class team to develop, implement, and support cutting edge Oracle technology.

Manages teams supporting and/or implementing multi-functional and/or multi-location projects and/or systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Develops and manages an effective risk mitigation strategy for the project(s).

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Successful track record as a manager. Detailed knowledge of technical and business concepts of a number of related applications areas. BA/BS degree preferred.

**Responsibilities**

**Responsibilities**

+ Manage a global team responsible for developing an integration platform focused on enabling teams to build mission critical integrations to drive business value via automation

+ Provide subject matter expertise support for mission critical tools and integrations

+ Lead by example as an active technical supporting role within the team

+ Continually review team performance and identify areas of opportunity for improvement

+ Influence greater team product build and deployment pipelines

+ Provide feedback to drive continual improvement into utilized monitoring solutions

+ Identify opportunities to improve/enhance performance and propose/own solutions

+ Execute standardized Incident Management process with a focus on service remediation and stakeholder transparency

**Skillset and Knowledge**

**Leadership / Managerial Skills**

+ Manage 24x7 on-call coverage by establishing/maintaining shift rotations

+ Attract and recruit/hire against open positions within the team

+ Identify technical training opportunities for the team to continually drive service delivery improvement

+ Drive cross team/organization collaboration to improve overall team efficiencies and project deliveries

+ Manage individual performance on a regular basis to build/maintain a highly reliant and performant team

+ Ability to review current workloads and effectively prioritize/delegate work within the team to meet business needs

**Required Technical Skills**

+ Event driven programming proficiencies

+ REST API proficiencies

+ Linux command line proficiencies

+ Install and configure Linux Systems

+ Basic network connectivity troubleshooting abilities

+ Basic Oracle Database troubleshooting abilities

+ Scripting skills utilizing Java, Bash, and Python

**Supplementary Technical Skills**

+ Competencies with Kubernetes clusters across a complex network environment

+ Experience in tuning system performance in a Kubernetes cluster environment

+ In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database administrative duties (install, backups, data restores, performance tuning, etc)

+ GIT source control experience

+ Cloud based integration architecture design skills utilizing "High Availability" strategies

**Required Procedural Skills**

+ Awareness with Incident Management process delivery

+ Awareness and experience with a Agile Project Management delivery

+ Change Management experience leading to safe and predictable change within the environment

**Required Experience**

+ 2+ years of experience leading/managing a team responsible for system availability

+ Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent

+ 5+ years of experience supporting mission critical applications

**Required Personal Attributes**

+ Sense of product ownership to proactively identify inconsistencies or unexpected behaviors within subject area

+ Strong tenacity for problem solving to utilize all resources to efficiently identify root cause

+ Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives

+ Solid verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to effectively propose/communicate new ideas and solutions to technical and business level challenges

+ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Experience working in a global team-oriented and collaborative environment
