Job Description

Lab Technician -Acro-ATJ, Troy, MI Work with other lab technician and cut/wrap/sew parts daily. Able to repeatedly wrap parts for prototype and current programs. Create some patterns for parts such as IPs, Consoles and Doors. Problem solve various issues pertaining to cut/sew/wrap daily. Help troubleshoot equipment for cut/sew/wrap. Help to set up cut/sew/wrap equipment in production facilities as needed. Work with pattern maker to fine tune patterns. Use new and existing glue technologies for cut/sew/wrap. Work with various textiles like TPO, PUR, Leather daily to create automotive parts Work effectively in a team atmosphere. Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under demanding situations. Effective problem-solving skills. lathes, band saws, heat guns, staple guns. Operate spray booth for adhesion purposes Knowledge of any pattern making, pattern making software or pattern digitizing software. Competent ability with computer software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project. Ability to create pattern with material such as leather, TPO and vinyl. Wrapping experience in a production environment. Production experience working with fixtures for cut/sew/wrap parts. Sewing experience with multiple industrial machines, understand chain and lock stitch.
