About the Role:

StyleSeat is looking for an experienced Senior Technical SEO Manager to lead our existing SEO program that already generates large scale traffic and user growth.  This high visibility role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and is responsible for creating and executing against an SEO roadmap that leverages content, inbound link building, and technical initiatives to drive traffic and user acquisition at a very large scale. The ideal candidate will have extensive SEO experience with particularly deep knowledge of technical SEO best practices.  They will have demonstrated a track record of leading cross-functional efforts to drive SEO at scale in an eCommerce, B2B2C marketplace, or B2C organization.

What You’ll Do:

    • Build, own and execute against the SEO strategy and roadmap to capitalize on both short and long term growth opportunities
    • Lead all SEO related content, technical, and inbound link building projects, own the requirements, and work with cross functional teams to execute these initiatives
    • Serve as the SEO thought leader and guide StyleSeat’s Growth, Product, Engineering, and Design teams around the latest trends and best practices
    • Perform ongoing keyword research, competitive analyses, and technical site audits to inform future opportunities for SEO growth
    • Identify and implement critical SEO monitoring tools to understand traffic trends, indexation health, keyword rankings, and customer acquisition metrics
    • Develop content strategies, define content needs and oversee execution to achieve business goals
    • Monitor, maintain, and increase quality inbound links either through in-house efforts or external agency assistance
    • Create and maintain StyleSeat’s SEO technical guidelines (on-page elements, URL structure, performance improvements, etc.) and work directly with the Engineering team to ensure that these guidelines are regularly followed


What You Can Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Technical SEO (preferably in-house) with a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing SEO programs that significantly improved organic search results 
  • A deep understanding of technical SEO best practices and the ability to identify and recommend improvements to site performance, URL structure, on-page elements, sitemaps, indexation, etc   
  • Previous experience leading SEO initiatives for a B2C website at scale (millions of pages, tens of millions of monthly sessions) is highly preferred 
  • Significant experience working with SEO and traffic analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, BrightEdge, Ahrefs, Majestic, Botify or other similar platforms
  • Previous experience recommending and managing programmatic content and inbound link building initiatives (in-house or via an agency)
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong team player, and the ability to clearly convey the SEO roadmap and ongoing performance to all levels of management
  • The ability to analyze and make recommendations for a high-traffic, high-volume site with millions of pages
  • The ability to create and execute against all components of the SEO roadmap including content, inbound link building, and technical initiatives
  • Must be able to identify, engage and manage external agencies to fill content gaps and/or drive inbound linking efforts
  • Experience leading app store optimization efforts (ASO)

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in an eCommerce, B2B2C marketplace, or B2C organization
  • Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages
  • Experience with SQL and Looker
