Responsible for supporting critical business operations and assisting in sustaining and improving the business continuity program to expand resiliency and safeguard the company's brand and reputation. Also support planning for, testing and responding to actual incidents or emergencies. This position is the first line of protection against regulatory violations and disaster recovery errors. Aid in predicting potential problems and help maneuver against them by analyzing collected data from lines of business and formulating a business impact assessment. This is an advisory role to work closely with critical business units to un-derstand their processes, identify risks, and provide solutions to help manage and minimize those risks. In addition, to assist business lines with contingency planning, meaning the ability to forecast any interruptions and help business lines put procedures into practice to avoid business interruption. Assist with documenting disaster recovery plans and perform risk management to find costs associated with any interruptions. Good communication skills and the ability to remain calm during an emergency are critical as this person must communicate, manage, and control activities associated with damage assessments and the recovery of critical business functions. A certain level of creativity, diplomacy and latitude are required.

Manage and maintain the recovery plan data for the enterprise, including but not limited to emergency contacts, processes and business impact analysis. Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery procedures and plans and maintain documentation as supporting evidence. Review and analyze business impacts for each business unit, tracking status, and risks. Coordinate table top exercise and line of business meetings around continuity planning and report findings to Board of Directors at least annually. Review systems and applications and document business continuity tier levels and testing strategies for such. Respond to emergencies and data losses, mitigate incidents, and plan to avoid them in the future, working closely with the Incident Management Team. Seek input from mentors and supervisors and perform other duties as needed.
