Product Development Engineer

The individual's primary responsibility will be to augment existing product development programs and initiate new ones. In addition, the position entails working with customers to address application-specific materials requirements through synthesis and testing. The successful candidate will need to apply Materials Science & Engineering principles to develop and implement new materials. In addition to technical skills, the individual should be able to work autonomously yet be a team player, be detail-oriented, creative, and communicate well with colleagues and customers. Specifically, the team member will be involved in the synthesis and processing advanced materials, especially related to Rechargeable Batteries. In addition, the technical work will involve cell fabrication and electrochemical testing.
Examples of Skills Needed

*Hands-on experience with inorganic, organic, or hybrid materials
*Synthesis of materials
*Experience with laboratory testing of materials
*Applications development experience
Education and Experience Requirements:
Candidates meeting the requirements for this position may come from a wide variety of technical fields such as Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science and Engineering with at least a Bachelor's degree. Experience in the chemical or materials industry is preferred, but not required, for this position
