Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Mission Assurance Engineer who is preoccupied with big

questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to

evolve as a species?

SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Mission Assurance Engineer who will primarily

be responsible for aiding Axiom's Software Safety Manager with defining and implementing our mission success

strategy, planning, and implementation as part of the Safety & Mission Assurance team. This role will encompass

all phases of the space systems development process including requirements definitions, system and spacecraft

interfaces, system and spacecraft design, assembly, integration, test, and mission operations. Prior experience

developing space systems for challenging environments and missions is expected.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Plan and implement Axioms mission and flight assurance success strategy, including implementation practices

and processes

* Work as part of an integrated team member across the program to address technical and quality issues to

meet program objectives and ensure mission success

* Ensure products and services conform to company standards of excellence
* Perform internal audits and assessments to ensure conformance to quality procedures as defined in the

Quality Management System (QMS)

* Ensure the verification supports the product as designed, and conforms to quality and reliability requirements
* Evaluate the procedures, processes, and practices to identify areas of improvements and efficiencies to reduce

risk

* Provide oversight in defect management and failure investigations to ensure corrective action implementation
* Analyze and interpret trends and metrics for risk assessment and management
* Perform root cause analysis and corrective action analysis
* Perform risk assessments at program reviews and control boards, such as, Material Review Board (MRB),

Program Management Reviews (PMR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Program and Project Milestone

Reviews

* Develop S&MA reports/presentations and perform other S&MA tasks as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, science, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline)
* 10 - 15 years' experience in Safety and Mission Assurance or similar role
* A broad background in space systems engineering including an understanding of space vehicle design, space

system architecture development, ground systems support, payloads, and space missions and operations

development.

* Detailed knowledge of spaceflight subsystems and functions, preferably human spaceflight related. Experience

with NASA human spaceflight programs is desired.

* Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the

task.

Requirements

* Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
* Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
* Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Physical Requirements

* Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying

up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
