LSI announces a gratifying opportunity for a full-time Family Support Specialist for our Early Childhood program in Scott and Clinton counties.

What You'll Do

Want to make a difference in the life of children and families? Family Support Specialists (FSS) offer home visits to expectant parents and caregivers of small children, providing parenting education, support, and advocacy. Family Support Specialists link parents to resources, promote optimal child health and development, and problem solve with parents. Family needs and abilities are evaluated on an ongoing basis. Family Support Specialists assist families in designing individualized support plans and empower families over time to achieve their chosen goals. Our home visitation program is part of a nationwide initiative designed to empower families to become and remain healthy and strong.

What You'll Need

Associates Degree in a health, education, or human service related field required. Bachelors Degreed preferred. In addition, qualified applicants will have one year of related experience working with children and families.
