The Senior Desktop Engineer is a highly motivated, extremely organized, client-focused engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting and maintaining a highly stable and secure Windows 10-based computing environment, with additional experience implementing and supporting VDI (preferably Citrix). The candidate will provide the highest levels of professionalism, courtesy and customer service to all internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • The candidate must have proven exceptional interaction with end users and able to maintain ticket SLA's by responding promptly to user requests
  • Manages and supports the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Responsible for patching all endpoints utilizing SCCM and WSUS
  • Utilize SCCM to develop and deploy endpoint images, as well as create/deploy software packages and custom reporting
  • Create documentation of existing and new technologies for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Create and maintain project, process, and procedure documentation
  • Ability to manage medium to large projects, as well as participation in projects as a technical lead or engineer
  • Manage Active Directory structure and Group Policy
  • Available for after-hours and weekend support as required

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Eight years or more of relevant professional work experience in supporting an enterprise IT environment
  • Enterprise level experience in Windows 10 and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced experience with VDI, preferably Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Exceptional technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, yielding excellent endpoint troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experienced with endpoint anti-virus tools and troubleshooting
  • Mastery level with creation and maintenance of OS deployments utilizing OSD task sequences within SCCM
  • Experience with mobile device management, including phone (iOS, Windows mobile, Android), scan guns, and OSx devices
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Experienced in PowerShell scripting
  • Thrives in a highly regulated and fast paced environment with proven multitasking skills, while exhibiting a focus on details and accuracy
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution, including those for design, installation, administration, support, and training
  • Working knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure, as well as application virtualization and delivery
  • Displays commitment to excellence and displays immense pride in their work
  • Exceptional soft skills and customer service skills
  • Superb time-management skills regarding deadlines
  • Strong background in network fundamentals and troubleshooting from endpoints
  • Energetic, highly self-motivated, and able to work effectively with all RTG associates
  • Maintains confidentiality of information and uses information appropriately
  • Works ethically and with integrity in supporting organizational goals and values
