WesleyLife, a nonprofit healthcare organization is excited to announce that Brio of Johnston, our newest Community for Healthy Living, is open!
In Italian, “Brio” means vigor and vivacity – a name that could also be used to describe our residents and team members! As the Metro’s most comprehensive lease community for those 55 and older, Brio is home to people with a lot of living to do. As a Brio team member, you’ll look forward to an environment of activity and enthusiasm, and you’ll help to create an atmosphere of health, well-being, purpose, and meaning.
Brio is located southwest of the intersection of Northwest 86th Street and Northwest 70th Avenue in Johnston. Conveniently near I-35/80, shopping, churches, and other amenities, Brio’s setting also is designed to foster well-being and an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The community is close to walking and bike trails and will feature a meditation garden, two ponds, and a pet recreation area. Brio includes a state-of-the-art wellness center and features delicious, healthy dining that incorporates the farm to table concept.
As a dining team member, you will have responsibility for providing a great dining experience for our residents and their guests. You will participate in the coordination the activities to assure great customer service is provided at all times and in a timely manner. You will monitor the quality of the food served while addressing the health and wellness needs of our residents and/or their guests. You will have a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of our residents by ensuring a great experience, but also helping to assure dietary restrictions are appropriately served and that individual food preferences are met as much as possible. You will also assist in, reviewing menus, maintaining the cleanliness of the dining areas, and being a general team player. This is a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your hospitality gifts and ability to work effectively with a team in service to older adults!
We prefer you to have some prior experience in a similar role within a health care or hospitality/restaurant environment but it is not required. Because we work in the homes of those we serve, we will need you to be able to communicate, read, and write effectively in English. You will also need to be able to follow and provide instructions to the team in fluent verbal and written English. We will need you to demonstrate beginner to intermediate computer skills.
