  • We are hiring immediately for a Lead Outpatient Dietitian position.

  • Location: LAC+USC

  • Note: online applications accepted only.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, some holidays or weekends if there is a busienss need

  • Requirement: RD Credential, CDCES, and CCS Paneled or Eligible

  • Starting Pay: 86,000- 105,000, based on years of acute care clinical experience

  • Job Details: Lead Outpatient Dietitian Specialist position will consist of 75% clinical responsibilities and 25% management responsibilities. Coverage will include pediatric and adult diabetes clinics. Some cross-coverage may be required (e.g. general adult outpatient, general pediatrics, etc.). Management responsibilities include oversight of 5 outpatient dietitians and 1 diet technician, staffing, chart audits, and competencies (among other duties). Some weekends/holidays required. CDCES required. Must be CCS paneled or eligible.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Dietitian provides nutritional services for the Client and Company. You will work collaboratively with the team and clients to ensure the nutrition plans are implemented and departmental standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self-management training and nutrition intervention

  • Complies with all regulatory standards, including federal, state and accrediting agencies

  • Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies where applicable

  • Participates in facility-wide and departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Programs

  • Identifies weekly treatment goals and communicates individual client needs to treatment team

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Bachelors degree and Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, required

  • Advanced Practitioner Certification and other advance practice, preferred

  • Minimum of two to three years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian

  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable required

  • Experience with computers and programs including Microsoft Office Suite required
