The Dallas Materials & Process Team centers on development of assembly methods, materials, and processes for current and next generation microwave and mmwave products, with a very heavy emphasis on cutting-edge automation and materials. You will work hand-in-hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing materials and processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis. Evaluation of materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) will be required including interfacing with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues. The opening would support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment). Assembly processes supported involve automated epoxy component attach, SMT Solder, wire-bonding, and solvent cleaning.
Security Clearance Requirements:
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Requirements:
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
* Knowledge of material properties relationships and test methods
* Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical data analysis
* Design of Experiment (DOE) techniques Desired Requirements: 2
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Previous demonstrated leadership experience
* Experience working within a team environment
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and people skills
* Self-motivated, proactive and able to multi-task
Desired Skills:
* Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
* Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
* Experience with automated equipment.
Required Education:
* Must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or other STEM related field.
* This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
