3-6 Month Contract Position
This position provides support to the production and corporate management teams involving compliance and licensing issues at all levels. The primary focus is on loan officer licensing, unsecured lending licensing and company licensing (with focus on FNMA, Freddie and FHA compliance requirements), but will also include state loan level reporting, insurance licensing, state regulatory examinations and various other compliance related projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Work with production and management to insure compliance with all state licensing requirements for individual loan officers and mortgage lenders and servicers, as well as unsecured lending licensing.
2.Identify high risk compliance issues and address appropriately.
3.Manage resources, time and organizational skills to meet deadlines, solve problems, prioritize tasks, follow through on projects and document results.
4.Review state and federal regulation and effectively interpret requirements affecting compliance and licensing.
5.Coordinate wholesale broker and closing agent approvals.
6.Provide timely response to state examiners before, during and after an examination.
7.Complete periodic state reports regarding company operations to ensure deadlines are met timely.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
College degree preferred. 1-2 years previous experience in a compliance/licensing role in the mortgage lending/banking industry. Current working knowledge of state regulatory requirements in mortgage lending licensing. Computer proficiency and comfort in various programs (MS Office Suite, Access Databases, etc.).
