A DAY IN THE LIFE:
  • Assists with the employee onboarding process once an offer has been accepted from Talent Acquisition, including providing an overview of first-day expectations, confirming shipping details for equipment, answering incoming hire questions, and conducting follow-up with incoming hires to ensure all pre-employment steps are completed in advance of the start date.
  • Manages the background check and drug screen process for all inbound hires, including prioritization and approval ahead of deadlines
    Works directly with hires to obtain supporting documentation as it relates to discrepancies in employment and/or education history.
  • Assists with the I-9 verification and reverification process for all employees
    Partners closely with HR Business Partner team to ensure that employees are aware of EAD expiration dates, reverification timelines, etc., to proactively support the business.
  • Administers HR/benefit systems including performing new hire data input; processing employee status changes; sending status change communications; and generating reports, employee benefit statements, and organizational charts as directed.
  • Manages the employee off-boarding process including preparing off-boarding packets, processing HR/benefit system changes and coordinating with Payroll for final paychecks
    Partners closely with Payroll on employee compensation changes, shift changes, schedule changes, PTO policies, etc
    to maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and Payroll.
  • Creates and maintains personnel and health related files in compliance with HIPAA privacy requirements.
  • Assists HRBP team with the filing of documents related to immigration status.
  • Responds to employee inquiries and takes action to resolve employee issues.
  • Assists with administration of employee health and welfare plans for US and Canada employees, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Provides general administrative support to various members of the HR team, such as ordering materials, coordinating meetings, and submitting expense reports.
  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Strong computer skills; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to effectively convey information related to work product in one on one conversation or in a group.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to alter behavior and opinions in light of new information.
  • Positive approach to resolving employee questions and requests.
  • Experienced with MS Office and the Internet.

Minimum certifications/educational level:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • HR Certificate preferred.

Minimum experience:

  • 2 years relevant administrative experience.
  • 6 months human resources experience preferred.
  • Experience with benefits administration desired.
