Robert Half is looking for a results driven Credit Manager to oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable, cash applications, collections and credit operations of an innovative manufacturing company in Columbia, MD. Summary of Responsibilities: ? Manage, train and develop a team of AR and Cash Applications Specialists. ? Evaluate current processes and develop and implement more effective AR, collections and credit strategies and procedures. ? Manage, analyze, review and approve/deny all credit and financial requests, limits, reports, and investigations. ? Monitor and audit aged and delinquent accounts and communicate best terms of action with the team. ? Partner and establish strong relationships internally with Sales Engineers to protect customer relationships. ? Monitor lien filing reports to protect and enforce bond and lien rights. ? Create procedures to mitigate risk, including UCC filings, liens, letters of credit, payment bonds and guarantees. ? Coordinate with Attorneys and third-party collection agencies as needed. ? Resolve escalated issues and manage major accounts that require a higher level of attention while ensuring customer satisfaction. ? Partner with the Accounting Manager and Controller to ensure best business practices are followed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: ? 5+ years of credit management and supervisory experience ? Proficiency in Excel is required. ? Experience in MS Dynamics Great Plains is a plus. ? Strong leadership skills with the ability to analyze and implement new processes and build a strong team atmosphere. ? Strong communication skills both internally and externally with the ability to build strong customer relationships. ? Experience working in HVAC, manufacturing/distribution, construction or engineering industry preferred. ? Working knowledge of lien laws, bonds and construction law preferred.
