Commercial Litigation Attorney - Counsel (Science Background Required)
Direct Counsel is seeking a Commercial Litigation Counsel to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm's Litigation group. This position is open in the following U.S. locations: New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Palo Alto, CA; Philadelphia, PA; Phoenix, AZ; Raleigh, NC; Reston, VA; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Short Hills, NJ; Washington, DC; Wilmington, DE.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school
- An additional degree in MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology is required

Bar Admission:
- Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying
- Candidates licensed to practice law in New York are encouraged to apply
- Communicating with clients and providing strategic legal counsel
- Supervising junior associates and coordinating case teams
- Working closely with expert witnesses and consultants
- Assisting in fact development, discovery, and depositions
- Drafting and reviewing discovery responses, legal briefs, motions, and memoranda
- Contributing to case strategy and trial preparation
- 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an Am Law 100 firm
- Strong science background required
- Experience in products liability and/or complex commercial litigation preferred
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical device industries is a plus
- Strong analytical and legal writing skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong research and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to influence and persuade others effectively
- Strong project management and multitasking capabilities
- Work Environment: Hybrid work model with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work
- Compensation: $400,000 - $500,000 per year, depending on geographic location and experience level
