The Account Executive position within PMA Specialty Markets is responsible for driving profitable growth of the division through the solicitation of new Captive and Group opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients to ensure continued strong client retention. The candidate will serve as the "face" of PMA and the primary liaison ensuring the needs of our brokers, captive partners, and clients are met. The right candidate for this role can work in any area of the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Expand and capitalize on existing alternative market business relationships to ensure high-volume lead generation of profitable Captive and Group programs.
• Develop a sales strategy that promotes awareness of PMA's Captive capabilities in traditional Property & Casualty broker community, as well as in alternative market distribution network.
• Identify and develop new relationships that will generate steady flow of new Captive/ Group opportunities.
• Work with Underwriting, Financial, Actuarial Departments to produce key sales and renewal objectives.
• Attend trade show events / conferences to help enhance PMA's visibility.
• Negotiate contracts with key accounts to favorably and expeditiously close sales.
• Partner with production resources in the field to develop strategies for additional lead generation.
• Monitor performance of platform to ensure the quality and volume of qualified leads; to identify issues as well as opportunities for new lead types.
• Maintain knowledge of trends within markets and industries, recognize and address sales barriers, communicate these effectively to Senior Management.
