Job Description

As leader of the Recovery team, this position is responsible for the ESIS claim recovery operations throughout North America, working collaboratively with both internal and external clients to maximize recoveries while minimizing costs.  This includes strategic planning, supporting the continuous improvement of the technical quality of the claims product, technical oversight, staff administration and data analysis. Ideal location for position is in our Philadelphia Home Office but other locations will be considered for qualified candidates. 
Manage a team of approximately 40 recovery staff across North America.
Maintain responsibility for the day to day administration of the staff, to include career development, personal performance and professional training.
Recovery is responsible for subrogation, Second Injury Fund, collections and returned checks for all of ESIS, our clients and our carrier partners.  Relationships must be developed and maintained accordingly with all internal and external parties.
Ensure that recovery identification and pursuit is conducted in a timely and thorough manner by overseeing technical oversight through day to day file management, best practices and analysis of available data.
Develop and maintain statistical and performance goals that are designed to produce excellent service to customers and maximize recovery results.
Ensure that recovery strategic initiatives and goals complement and contribute to the overall claim department and corporate objectives.
Work with the Data and Analytics team to produce additional business analytics tools.
Be a subject matter expert in regard to recovery for the claim department and the corporation by keeping abreast of industry and legal trends.
Strive to market claim recovery within the organization as well as to external customers such as clients, brokers and insurance carriers.

Bachelor’s degree in related field or proven insurance related experience.
Minimum of 10 years of insurance experience.
Minimum of 5 years of claim management experience.
Experience in leadership and managing a staff of remote employees. 
Forward thinking with a high level of business acumen. This position requires a creative and energetic professional to continue to build upon the foundation already created.
Multi-line claim handling experience.  Direct recovery experience a plus.
Effective communications and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Understanding and ability to use internal systems as well as Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to collect and analyze complex data sets to identify the root causes and trends related to claim non-compliance.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
