Waterfront Engineer with Security Clearance

Responsibilities Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking an Indepent Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) to support U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs . You will provide engineering and technical assistance support at San Diego, CA. The ISEA is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work at ships located in San Diego as well as other fleet concentration areas. The position will facilitate testing and troubleshooting of ship steering equipment and assisting in technical refreshes of existing systems. * Articulate steering system component pathways and functionality * Complete Shipboard Operabilty Verification Tests for steering systems * Assess proper integration with steering peripheral equipment such as Hydraulic Power Units and information systems * Travel to fleet concentration areas to assist in technical installations, and or repairs. * Complete assigned tasking with minimal supervision. * Participate as a component of fleet implementation and fielding plans. * Execute test plans and provide feedback. * Provide feedback and lessons learned for test plans and technical documentation Qualifications Candidates will have experience in the following: * Navigation System (IBNS) Steering & Propulsion Control System (SPCS) software experience * At least 3 years US Navy maintenance experience * 3+ years operational experience with DDG IBNS SPCS software * Knowledge of steering system electronic components and functions * Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) are required * Willing to travel (25% on average) * Curriculum development/management experience * Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance required. * Bachelors degree in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
