Rev & Billing Specialist- Government Audits & Refunds (WFH)
Job Description:
Address correspondence and refund requests from both internal and external customers
Skill Requirements:
- Basic to advance computer knowledge
- Basic to intermediate knowledge on using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Time management skills
- Organizational skills
- Adaptable to a changing environment such as changes in duties, priorities and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers recognizing that all customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet departmental quality and productive standards
- Follow LabCorp, RCM, Departmental Guidelines
- Perform daily duties with limited supervisory intervention
- Coordinate projects to meet expected targets/milestones
- Understand policy concepts related to assigned projects
- Able to communicate to management issues/risks associated with projects and provide recommendations
- Running reporting (Excel/Access/Datamart) for the Department
- Publishing complete and accurate reporting to Management daily/weekly/monthly
- Running macros to complete departmental projects
- Composing email or project communications as needed
- Researching information in LCBS to obtain billing information or to better understand the issue being researched
- Following established procedures (SOPs)
- Create electronic record retention files
- Know how to do adjustments both manual and macro
- Process Medicare and Medicaid requests as indicated by SOP and according to the correspondence
- Cross trained in all department related functions
License/Certification/Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-5 years directly applicable experience
Strongly Preferred Education and Skills
- Previous medical billing experience or Accounts Receivables experience preferred
- Intermediate computer skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Access skills level preferred
