Provider Compensation Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for provider compensation contract management and completing payroll for companies as assigned. The Provider Compensation Specialist is responsible for entering all necessary data into Teamworks, receiving and reviewing system generated reports, setting up new recurring fee variables, and compiling the final documentation required to be saved for audit and backup. The Provider Compensation Specialist is also responsible for gathering and preparing all incoming pay data, calculating recurring fee amounts, reviewing data entry, as well as, compiling the backup to support the payments included in each payroll.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Setting up recurring fees and direct deposit

* Gathering and preparing pay data for entry

* Entering pay data into Teamworks

* Reviewing extended hours report

* Reviewing corporate payroll reports

* Printing and mailing live checks

* Enter TeamHealth stock withholding

* Reviewing recurring fee and direct deposit setup

* Processes calculations in Financial Workbook

* Compiling backup

* Reviewing worked hours revision, facility worked hours, prep sheets

* Receiving and preparing off cycle pay requests

* Building the employee bonus worksheet

* Sending bank files

* Closing books for Independent Contractors







QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

* HS Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred

* 1+ year of general office experience; experience in accounting, bookkeeping and/or payroll preferred

* Experience with payroll software preferred

* Excellent organizational skills

* Excellent problem-solving skills

* Excellent computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheet, and database management)



* Good decision-making and judgment skills

* Good communication skills (verbal and written)

* Ability to attend to detail

* Ability to handle stress and conflict

* Ability to handle multiple tasks/deadlines

* Ability to work in a team environment

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

* Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting

* Ability to work a flexible schedule and after-hours as needed

* Occasional lifting/carrying (10 pounds or less)

* Occasional standing/bending

* Moderate to high stress level

* Prolonged sitting

* Prolonged computer/PC work

* Prolonged telephone use

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.
