POSITION:Production Coordinator

SHIFT:Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

PAY RATE:$22.00-$26.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) + Full Benefits Package

TrueNorth Steel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to assist the Plant Planner/Scheduler in all aspects of planning and scheduling of steel fabrication production at our West Fargo (ND) site. Apply today to join a team of industry-leading Game Changers!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the site Planner/Scheduler in all production related activities in order to maximize the efficiencies of our production personnel.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Follow all company safety and quality policies.
  • Assist Production Planning and Shop Supervisors in determining production schedules for various work centers within the production facility.
  • Provide day to day support on production floor by removing road blocks and in doing so ensure efficient and effective material flow, data entry, tracking production status and other assistance as required.
  • Assist / Support Shop Supervisors with cutting and production information.
  • For structural projects, generate standard cutting sheets by project and/or sequence.
  • For structural projects, maintain release – return receipt of production documents (cutting [relieving/filing], production sign-offs/check-offs).
  • Initiate review of material shortages with Purchasing / Inventory Control.
  • For structural projects, release reserved material in Fabtrol as Projects are completed.
  • For structural projects, input subcontract detailing information into production system.
  • Produce CNC data for production machines.
  • Crosscheck Bill of Materials (drawing vs. production system), add finish codes, check material grades, maintain revision levels and sequence releases.
  • Produce and distribute part and assembly prints, label, sequence and organize.
  • Program production machines (beam line, iron worker, plasma table, etc.) when necessary.
  • Assist in trouble shooting orders when drawing issues arise.
  • Maintain ongoing production metrics.
  • Participate in the daily/weekly production meetings and assist in determining the most efficient flow of work thru site.
  • Must have regular communication with other divisions of TrueNorth Steel.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to operate Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use company operating systems (Fabtol/ProNest/SyteLine/Others).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to perform algebraic functions manually or with office equipment.
  • Ability to logically think through process steps and identify potential issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with all departments and other divisions.
