Program Statement:
Success For Youth offers an opportunity for youth to learn social skills, personal development skills, computer skills, and job skills designed to assist juveniles in obtaining employment and eventual independence. Each client in the program has a case manager through Catholic Charities that also provides advocacy in the schools, in the court system, at home and in the community.The Case Manager facilitates 2 skill development groups per week, which the client must attend and during the summer months, clients participate in job tours and volunteer experiences that prepare them for the work force.
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate skill development classes twice per week in a group setting designed to address emotional regulation, employment training and life skills.
- Provide individual case management for each client while acting as an advocate on behalf of the client at school, juvenile court, home and in the community
- Provide opportunities for educational achievement and career development
- Work collaboratively with the juvenile court and staff to assist clients with goal achievement related to their individual case plan
- Mentor general and additional clients of varying ages
