The Federal Cybersecurity team provides a variety of services and support for U.S. Federal government customers to meet ever growing demands for compliance and accreditation.Job DescriptionFederal Government customers’ cybersecurity requirements continue to evolve and the tolerance of non-compliance to mandates continues to vanish. Features such as PKI and HBSS require extensive integration with our products and heavy collaboration with engineering teams, testing and support to insure successful implementation and sustainment, which reduces risk to system availability.Expected responsibilities:Support efforts necessary to supplement product development of features required by Federal customers such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Host-Based Security Solutions (HBSS).Help to resolve issues and insure the project deliverables are completed on time.Interface with vendors, product development engineering, business and support teams to insure solutions will not have a negative impact on system performance, availability and serviceability.Assist with support of the lab systems to ensure components are configured and functioning properly and available to support testing and development activities as required.Provide support for field activities including implementation planning and deployment, assisting with troubleshooting/resolving issues.Assist with development of policies and training of support personnel as required.Provide Tier 2 support for Federal Service supported products and services.Test and vet patches, firmware, software updates/upgrades, technical notifications on different Operating Systems, applications, software, transport and networking devices, databases, web servers, etc.Insure all deliverables are produced as needed for successful field deployment for initial install and subsequent updates.Candidate will be SME in some of the items above, but expected to be backup and aware of other items. Team environment.Basic Needs:Knowledge of multi-factor authentication implementation, Active Directory and authentication across platform extremely helpful.Ability and willingness to learn complex technologiesAbility to gather and analyze data, reason logically and creatively, draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendationsGood communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal skills to assist and communicate with staff and clientsExperience with Windows (client and server) and Linux Operating SystemsSome basic networking concepts.Experience with ASTRO systems a plusExperience in software development a plusMust be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.The potential candidate will be required to complete Standard Form 89 Questionnaire for National Security PositionsMinimum of 5+ years recent experience in fielding and supporting Information Technology SystemsBachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field or work-experience equivalentExperience and exposure working in the Cybersecurity fieldAbility to collaborate with stakeholders and articulate Security/IT principles and requirementsExhibits a proactive work ethic, looking for innovative ways to solve complex problemsKnowledge of networking, firewall technologies, IDS/IPS, Antivirus/AntiMalwareWindows, LINUX, VMWareScripting and programming languagesUSFGMD - RequirementsBachelor’s Degree OR 5+ years of experience supporting IT SystemsMust be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
