Responsibilities:

  • Claims reimbursement lead:

    • Comprehensive review, including: confirming reasonableness, accuracy, adequacy, allowability, and allocability of the support to the C-band program;

    • Various analytical procedures over the claims submitted for reimbursement;

    • Creating various reports, as requested by the management and the FCC;

    • Manage a team of people; communicate with various stakeholders (including technical and regulatory teams) on the progress of the various claim related matters.

  • Audit support:

  • Oversee and participate in audit planning;

    • Supervise walkthrough and risk assessment procedures, including preparation and monitoring of audit requests;

    • Complete planning materiality determinations using industry approved guidance and best practices;

    • Plan the nature, extent, and timing of audit procedure to be performed using a risk based approach; and

    • Confirm substantive and control sample selections using industry guidance and statistical sampling methodologies.

  • Oversee and participate in audit fieldwork

    • Supervise staff testing;

    • Perform final review of staff work papers and results;

    • Manage and monitor the status of audit requests;

    • Respond to challenges and issues raised by staff in a timely manner.

  • Review and finalize audit reports;

  • Coach and mentor staff, ensuring team development and high performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;

  • 6-8 years of recent audit experience, government audit preferred;

  • Interest and experience in developing and maintaining client relationships;

  • Proven experience managing and coaching staff;

  • Knowledge of FAR, OMB A-123, OMB A-87, and OMB A-50 preferred;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel;

  • Experience with CaseWare Electronic Working Papers and Checkpoint Tools for PPC or similar systems required;

  • Proficiency in IDEA preferred;

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills;

  • Effective oral and written communication skills;

  • Ability to travel locally occasionally.
