This position is a 6 month contract for one of our key Insurance clients It is a doctor-governed company divided into five businesses: "eye care insurance, high-quality eyewear, lens and lens enhancements, ophthalmic technology, and connected experiences to strengthen the relationship between patients and their eye doctors."

Job Description:

  • Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, demonstrated written, verbal, analytical, research, customer service, and interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective internal client relationships at all organizational levels. Preferred skills: Fusion Risk Management or similar business continuity planning software.

Job Summary:

  • Reporting to the Global Business Continuity Manager, this role will assist with the Client Global Business Continuity Program. Coordinate the design, development, maintenance and implementation of Client Global business continuity framework, business impact analyses, recovery strategy development, contingency planning and business continuity awareness.

Essential Functions:

  • Centrally understands and drives BCP technology requirements. This includes development of BC Planning system requirements, identifying improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and ensure alignment with changes to BCP lifecycle. This would include the utilization of existing data and BCM software to analyze and develop KPIs and dashboards for reporting purposes.
  • Oversees and/or conducts the development, maintenance and testing of business continuity plans; work closely with all lines of business (LOBs) to coordinate business continuity activities; provides guidance to users on plan development, detail, testing, and execution.
  • Conducts, communicates, and maintains business continuity lifecycle planning, coordinates the development, review, and evaluation of risk assessment, business impact analysis and business continuity plans.
  • Develops and coordinates facilitation of enterprise-wide event exercises, continuity software management and training.
  • Identify State and Federal regulations as they impact the company's Business Continuity strategies; establish and maintain program processes and practices which effectively ensure that the enterprise program remains current, and incorporates/aligns with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers general regulatory requirements.
  • Supports processes that support BCM governance requirements as part of the enterprise operational risk framework (as assigned).
  • Provides consultative support to multiple business areas with completion of the full Business Continuity Planning life-cycle and enterprise solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of functional/relevant BCP/DR experience
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in BCP documentation, including Risk Assessment, Business Impact Analysis and BC Planning
  • Advanced analytical skills and is detail oriented
  • Knowledge of current BCP/DR processes, risks, controls, and governance
  • Strong project management skills and experience working with cross functional teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Any professional DR/BCP certifications are considered major plus.
  • Travel: 10% or as needed.
