Position has great opportunity to extend and there is good possibility that this role could convert to FT in the future

Location: Onsite Only, Sullivan Park, *** NY

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m., however, schedule may be variable based on business needs

Travel:
Is not currently expected for this role but the need for travel could arise in the future.

We are seeking a strong software Product Owner to work with our dream team in order to deliver best software solutions to our innovative and industry-leading products.

A day in the life:
• Develop detailed product stories/requirements, in an agile environment, to ensure product delivery consistency with target personas, motivators and expectations
• Actively participate in all aspects of the product development cycle
• Work closely with all stakeholders to communicate customer needs, adjust requirements based on technical feedback, manage and prioritize project requirements and changes to those requirements
• Research, learn and implement technologies to develop a background for successful product definition
• Employ and develop product planning and management best practices, establishing and executing reliable processes for collecting and prioritizing customer/market requirements
• Establish and maintain a strong relationship with customer-facing staff as a critical resource to address critical pre- and post-sales customer product issues and ultimately help drive product sales engagements to closure
• Contribute to the vision and definition of the product suite
• Build, prune, maintain and prioritize the product backlog
• Collaborate with Scrum and Kanban teams to define iteration content based on backlog priority and team sizing
• Ensure user stories contain adequate detail and acceptance criteria for implementation
• Accept user stories into the product baseline
• Plan and coordinate software releases
• Collaborate directly with software and QA engineers on the SCRUM team
• Demonstrate new product features and functionality after each iteration

What we're looking for:
• Must be self-starting, hardworking and inquisitive
• Working knowledge of SDLC, methodologies, tools and processes
• A keen eye for details and ability to spot and document deviations/anomalies
• An uncompromising approach to meeting/exceeding requirements (or ability to work through steps to have the requirement changed)
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• In-depth understanding of the agile software development cycle and methodologies
• Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Must work well with others of all personality types in an intense environment
• Teamwork, attention to detail, and great communication skills are required
• Driven, creative, and results-oriented applicants are highly preferred
• Having knowledge in UI Design and mockups

Plus:
• General technical competency
• Senior knowledge of Automation SDLC
• A proven track record for high-quality SW product delivery
• Having good understanding of Software Design
• Having Experience in Ux

Education/Experience:
MS in Business or Management
OR
BS in Business or Management with 1-2 years of applicable experience (the manager will be looking for candidates who have actual experience writing user stories)

Hiring Timeline and Interview Setup:
The hiring manager is looking to fill this position as soon as possible and will be reviewing candidates on a rolling basis. The interview process will consist of 2 phases. For those local to the area, the first interview will be a 30 minute phone screen with the hiring manager, and the second interview will be a 2-3 hour practical test/in person interview. For those not local, the first interview will be an hour phone screen, and the second interview will be an in person interview at client location. Relocation assistance will not be provided for those considering this role that are not local to the area. Please be sure to pre-screen entry level candidates to ensure they display the personal skills needed to excel in this role. Due to the high level of candidate fall out we have seen with this position, please make sure candidates are aware of the *** mandated on-boarding requirements up front. This position has good possibility of extension and the potential for conversion in the future.
