Sales Manager
The Sales Manager’s role is to increase Production Transport’s overall sales by developing relationships
with new accounts and growing existing accounts. The chosen candidate can work remotely if desired
or may work in a hybrid or in office in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or Chicago.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for:
- Qualifying leads and developing innovative proposal strategies to secure business
- Prioritizing exemplary service and achieving sales goals
- Collaborate with team members to develop dynamic proposal that meet the clients’ needs and budgets
- Representing Production Transport at client meetings, site inspections, pre-con meetings, industry and association functions, etc.
- The maintenance and management of new and existing client relationships as well as
relationships with suppliers and partners - Develop with client any marketing/branding possibilities for programs.
- Manage travel schedule and budget
- Initiate, maintain, and close business with clients, arranging for signed contracts and deposits
- Respond promptly to all referral leads from website, hotels, convention centers, suppliers, and clients
- Following up with clients on final invoicing and feedback on program execution
- Being knowledgeable on current industry trends
Required & Preferred Qualifications
The Sales Manager should:
- Possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Have a minimum three years of experience in sales, specifically in convention services, event management, DMC, transportation, or related field preferred
- Have a bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
- Be proficient in Microsoft 365
- Exhibit a proven capability to meet sales goals consistently
- Be proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting client requirements, RFPs, contracts, financial reports, and other legal documents
- Must be adept in preparing reports, writing business correspondence, and developing dynamic
proposals - Be comfortable working alone or within in a team setting
- Travel to event sites (15%-25%) required
Compensation and Benefits
Salary plus commission with earned comp time, PTO, health insurance, and 401K.
