Micron is looking for a Video Producer in San Jose,CA

The Video Producer on the Studio Creative Team in Microns Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) organization, will act primarily as a Producer, Cinematographer, Photographer, and Editor for Microns internal and external marketing and communications needs.

This position will be responsible for creative development in the studio and on location for video and photography assignments, and will create permanent visual images for a wide range of creative, portrait, marketing, technical and documentary purposes. This position will write scripts for video; and perform hands-on producing, directing, shooting and editing of short videos and photography.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of advanced video production
Perform pre-production activities.
o Consult with global clients in all levels of the company to understand and define communication objectives; develop conceptual ideas, research subject matter, storyboard, and integrate content into final written script.
o Coordinate all logistics of production shoot; develop production timeline and manage schedule, scout and secure locations, audition and book talent, and acquire wardrobe and props.
Perform production activities.
o Specify and procure the necessary camera, audio recording, and support equipment required for successful execution of production.
o Transport and set up lighting, audio recording equipment, cameras and support equipment.
o Manage and oversee all aspects and scene sequence of the recording session.
o Provide specific direction to talent and crew.
o Operate camera(s), audio recording, and other equipment during recording sessions.
Perform post-production activities.
o Download and review footage, keyword, rate, catalog and backup files.
o Coordinate and work with graphics animator and voice talent to produce additional assets required for program.
o Assemble video program by manipulating raw camera footage, dialogue, music, sound effects, graphics, and animations, in accordance with overall production objectives.
o Work with client(s) and stakeholders to get final approval of project.
o Compress and encode a variety of digital outputs for distribution.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of photography
Perform pre-production activities
o Discuss with clients their image requirements and how they intend to use them.
o Research and develop creative concepts.
o Scout and acquire locations.
o Arrange still life objects, products, scenes, props and backgrounds.
o Seek out and schedule appropriate subjects.
Perform production activities.
o Photograph using an extensive range of technical equipment including cameras, lenses, lighting and specialty software.
o Interact with, encourage and direct subjects and put them at ease during portrait photography shoots.
o Communicate with subjects putting them at ease, encouraging and directing them.
Perform post-production activities
o Download and review photographs, keyword, rate, catalog, and retouch images for final delivery.
o Upload best of images to the Micron Gallery.

Manage Video Production and Photography Assets
Perform Digital Asset Management (DAM) of created video and photo content.
Manage all aspects of Adobe Lightroom and CatDV software.
Gather information and make recommendations, in conjunction with the Creative Services staff, regarding DAM equipment performance and purchase.
Work with co-workers to evaluate and improve tasks and systems.
Develop best practices, processes and workflow procedures.
Perform basic equipment/software troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
Perform equipment/software maintenance and coordinate with vendors on repairs.

Promote the Micron brand
Represent and act as Micron Brand Ambassador at all levels of content creation, events, and vendor interaction.
Collaborate with GCM teams to ensure a consistent Micron brand is present in all materials.
Incorporate standards across all projects - ensuring that projects are within design and brand guidelines.
Coordinate projects and support GCM team and internal clients. Work directly with clients and self-manage project planning and tracking, deadlines, and tasks.
Coordinate between clients and Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) team.
Collaborate with Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) Team on projects
Evaluate priority of requests, projects, and activities to ensure best ROI of time and resources.
Coordinate, manage, and direct external vendors and agencies.
Use the project management system(s) to assign projects
Communicate with project managers and clients on schedule of work, production timelines, information on project costs, etc.
Develop, modify, and communicate messaging
Research and work with vendors to gather spec information, pricing, and integrate the vendor production schedule with Microns production schedule.

Qualification:
Degree in Communication, Journalism, Video Production or related
Required 5 years experience in video production/television industry
Required Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud-Mac (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects)
Preferred Experience with Canon DSLRs and lenses. (Canon 5D Mark IV, 1DX MarkII, C300 MarkII)
Strong composition, lighting, sound recording and editing skills
Proven creative concepting and video script writing skills
Solid computer skills and technical capabilities (Mac and PC)
Ability to independently lead projects, direct talent and meet deadlines
Awareness and sensitivity to different customs and cultures

WORKPLACE-
Travel required. Business needs will determine the frequency and duration of travel.
