Job Details

The Production Engineer acts as a technical resource for Operations personnel in the plant, applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems and enable safe and efficient production of quality products. One of your main responsibilities will be to review reliability events and determine why it occurred. The Production Engineer is expected to interact effectively with a wide variety of teams to implement effective change.

  • Implements continuous improvement strategies and provides constructive feedback
  • Follows governmental rules and engineering standards: (API, ASME, ANSI, NBIC, NFPA, etc)
  • Ability to read and interpret IMS, QMS, and local documents
  • Leads and/or participates in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) investigations
  • Follows up with Plants to ensure corporate PM/PdM matrix goals are being met
  • Collects, Organizes, Analyzes, Interprets, and prioritizes preventive and/or predictive maintenance
  • Reviews and analyzes reliability incidents. Identifies trends and proposes long-term solutions.
  • Supports development and implementation of our Mechanical Integrity Program
  • Works closely with the Mechanical Integrity Engineer
  • Net Assets plant/zone availability and reliability
  • Conducts reliability data analysis
  • Facilitates Vulnerability Study
  • Participates in the MOC process

Should know some of the following
  • Enterprise Asset Management system (Maximo)
  • Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices
  • Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) plants
  • CMMS or EAM systems (Maximo)
  • OSHA, MSHA, FDA, EPA, etc
  • Hydrogen production units
  • Vibration analysis data
  • Lubrication knowledge
