Job Description

SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT
The Donaldson Group is seeking a highly energetic, self-driven Senior Property Accountant who will serve as one of the key members of the financial management and accounting team. 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
•         Maintain complete and accurate general ledgers for multiple properties including review and prepare adjusting entries.
•         Perform reconciliations, analyses, and prepare supplemental schedules to support financial statements. 
•         Prepare bank reconciliations.
•         Prepare operating funding requests.
•         Record owner’s contributions, distributions, and financing activities.
•         Prepare and report monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements on a Cash/Accrual/GAAP basis.
•         Calculate Management Fees, Assets Management Fees, and/or other fees.
•         Prepare quarterly and/or year-end lender’s reporting requirements.
•         Update monthly cash flow projections and prepare cash flow projection reports.
•         Work closely with Regional Managers, Property Managers, and/or other departments to resolve and support matters of financial management and accounting.
•         Assist with year-end close and audit including review and record tax/audit adjusting entries.
•         Prepare personal property tax returns.
•         Assist with annual budget.
•         Perform ad hoc projects and/or duties as assigned.
Skills & Knowledge:
•         BS in Accounting with 7-10 year related experience. Residential real estate and/or property management industry is preferred.  CPA is a plus.
•         Strong analytical and organizational skills with high level of devotion to detail and accuracy.
•         Excellent problem solving skills, project management skills, and interpersonal skills.
•         Experience in preparing Cash/Accrual/GAAP financial statements.
•         Experience in MRI, especially with Residential Management is preferred.
•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
