Purpose of the job
Using their significant experience in Downstream O&G facilities management, the holder will manage business relationships with nominated key accounts and high potential prospects in relation to the use of PFP risk and severity assessment services and inspection. They will seek new business opportunities (service and product solutions), conduct inspections and provide detailed technical advice/reports on the integrity of in-situ PFP to owners and operators.
•Rolls-out coatings engineering service sales programs (including, sales process-related knowledge / tools) and promotes PFP severity risk and inspection services related to key accounts.
•Provides consultancy services in the field of PFP risk and severity inspections and maintenance and repair to support sales activities alongside key account managers and the commercial sales force in the region.
•Is responsible for technical regional key account management in relation to the introduction of PFP risk and severity assessment.
•Assists in the implementation of solutions within the area of services.
•Identifies and follows up on significant business opportunities, pinpoints the existing and/or potential problems and arranges for their resolution.
•Applies the agreed sales strategies / key account management process towards the selected key prospects; negotiates terms and conditions of contracts.
•Provides feedback to understand how customers are utilizing our products and how well those products align versus competitive products. Primarily focusing on key accounts.
•Together with Regional Sales teams, plans, monitors, participates in and reports on the execution of the sales activities conducted regarding PFP services and products.
•Travels as required with key account teams and regional sales teams to visit major customers and stakeholders in the market.
•Maintains positive relationship with major direct and indirect customers to maintain close contact with the market where relevant.
•Delivers periodical business reviews and actively participates in the development of business growth and sales support plans for the designated customers, especially regarding PFP services.
•Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.
•Conducts demonstrations of products and transfers the knowledge on AkzoNobel processes as well as on technical problem solving to the customers;
•Carry out inspections and to provide technical support on projects to ensure the correct application of Chartek epoxy intumescent coatings
Records own activities using CRM, updates the key customers’ databases with valid, accurate and complete information (visits, products, equipment etc.)
•Minimum of 5 years (preferably 10 years) working for a major O&G operator, petrochemical and/or chemical multinational as a site inspector, civil or structural engineer or maintenance manager.
•Specific experience in the inspection and remedy of PFP systems (concrete, light-weight cement, epoxy and dry-fix) and the escalation strategies employed on O&G Downstream facilities.
•A clear understanding of the operational risk assessment and reporting procedures employed on O&G downstream facilities.
•Can demonstrate evidence of selling services within the O&G Downstream segment.
•Excellent reporting skills and the ability to utilize cloud-based reporting to maximize customer engagement.
•NACE CIP Level 3 or specific PFP inspection equivalent is highly desirable.
