Thisposition is recognized as a master in the strategic sourcing disciplineresponsible for developing strategies to deliver ongoing improvements in totalcost for purchased commodities and goods within the assigned source category. Responsible for an annual spend of $50M+actively managing 15-20 strategic suppliers. A category management framework will be applied to create long-term,sustainable value for all Welbilt businesses with a focus on North America witha high level of collaboration with peers in EMEA and APAC.

Reporting directly to the Director CategoryManagement, this position is based in New Port Richey, Florida.


  • Developing and managing assignedCategory sourcing. (plastics OR electronics)

  • Attainment of short-term costtargets and ongoing improvement of total spend.

  • Ongoing collaboration withsourcing peers and partners to maximize efforts.

EssentialJob Functions:

  • Develops andimplements multi-year category strategies creating value for all key Welbiltstakeholders.

  • Develops andexecutes specific annual total cost and supply chain improvement plans.

  • Negotiateslong-term supply agreements, inventory programs, commercial settlements andother types of agreements.

  • Partners withkey internal stakeholders to uncover, quantify, and highlight priorityopportunities for category improvement.

  • Ensuresportfolio of the highest impact opportunities is being resourced by productlines and executive to deliver on SBP goals.

  • Identifies andhighlights strategic supplier for NP projects, working to close gaps in advanceof project gates.

  • Ensuressuccess of NPI launches, outsourcing and supplier changes by ensuring all gatedeliverables are in place.

  • Partners withother team members and functions to build and improve necessary sourcingstandard work.

  • Leveragesexpertise by coaching and mentoring value stream sourcing, materialsmanagement, quality, engineering and other in sourcing best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Supply Chain, or Related and a minimum of 10 years ofprofessional experience required

  • Ability totravel 25% of the time

  • Experience in strategicsourcing or procurement management with $50M+ spend.

  • Proficiencyusing formal strategic sourcing processes, category management, and supplierrelationship management methods.

  • Strongnegotiating skills; excellent understanding of terms and conditions ofdevelopment, supply and inventory agreements.

  • Experience inbest practices including category playbook, total cost of ownership, costmodeling, supplier relationship management, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Knowledge ofsupply chain, logistics, and materials management principles and bestpractices.

  • Demonstratedability to influence all levels of staff and management without formaldecision-making authority.

  • Experience inglobal, multi-plant manufacturing organization with revenues more than $1B.

  • Preferredexperience in industrial OEM, automotive, HVAC, or food service industryequipment.
