Job Details

DESCRIPTION
Work with engineering and manufacturing to design and develop automated systems for new and existing programs to reduce cost and improve quality, uptime, and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Research, quote, design, construct, program, install, groom, and document custom sensing, automation control systems, vision systems, and other computer/networking/data collection systems for production purposes.
Maintain, repair, upgrade and improve all existing systems.
Fabrication, wiring, programming, and grooming of new systems and improvements to existing systems
Program programmable logic controllers and robotic systems
Troubleshoot and repair existing automation systems
Document and train other departments and team members on the proper use of these systems.
As needed, assist and coach other departments and team members in solving highly technical issues and problems as they arise.
Help project manage new automation builds, place purchase orders for components
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be highly knowledgeable in many technical areas including:
CAD
Electronics
Electrical wiring
Electromechanical systems
Pnuematic/hydraulic systems
Computers
Networking
Inspection
Cameras
Motors
Robots
Various types of sensors, controls and their components.
Proficient with Programmable Logic Controllers and their programming.
Must be very creative, detail oriented, neat, and able to multitask.
Good troubleshooting skills and a proficiency with test, measurement and analytical equipment.
Experience in machine design, assembly, i.e. mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, signal debugging/tracing; mechanical alignment.
Machining experience a plus.
