The selected candidate for this position will report to the Northrop Grumman Precision Targeting and Protection facility in Apopka, FL. What you'll get to do: The new team member will support the design, integration, test, and production of laser/electro-optical, network and communication systems. Roles & Responsibilities
* Implement and manage system requirements.
* Revises and manages both original and revised specification/interface definition document and expedites documents through signature approval process.
* Provides data to risk management (identifies potential risks) and trade study processes.
* Supports system design, data analyses, interface verification, testing, failure/anomaly resolution and mission operations.
* Supports the testing and/or evaluation/validation of one or more components of a system or subsystem analytical model or actual system implementation.
* Attends and prepares materials for presentation during System Requirement Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review.
* Supports trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, system design assessments, mission analysis and timelines and concept of operations development.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment supporting an Integrated Product Team.This position may be filled as a Principal Systems Engineer or a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer based on the qualifications below." Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer:
* BS Degree in Engineering or related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience
* US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
* Experience with requirements development and analysis.
* Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verification.
* Experience working in the defense industry.
* Experience in performing failure analysis and driving implementation of robust corrective action.Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
* BS Degree in Engineering or related STEM degree and a minimum of 9 years related experience
* US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
* Experience with requirements development and analysis.
* Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verification.
* Experience working in the defense industry.
* Experience in performing failure analysis and driving implementation of robust corrective action.Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (eg, Cameo) * Understanding of Statement of Work and other contractual documents * Experience writing statements of work and estimating project scope.
* Ability to scope and generate product test plans, lead tests as Test Engineer and generate comprehensive test reports for internal and external customer distribution.
* Experience working with a cross-discipline team
* Have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashion.
* Have demonstrated experience in solving technical problems independently with minimal supervision. Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
