Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic Inventory Analyst to join our growing company. As an Inventory Analyst at Viasat working on the External Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks in support of our Manufacturing, Aftermarket Services, Finance, and Engineering departments. While your days will never be the same, they may consist of managing the disposition of our excess and obsolete inventory, monitoring and conducting inventory cycle counts, creating and managing work orders, developing and updating process control documents, interfacing with internal and external auditors, resolving discrepancies with suppliers, monitoring and developing managerial metrics, and creating and maintaining inventory and location data within Oracle. Additional responsibilities will include monitoring hardware and software licensing agreements, processing support renewals, and performing Oracle transactions related to offsite inventory. Strong organizational skills will help you as you manage and participate in cross-functional improvement projects, interfacing with key stakeholders throughout the company. You'll work on solving problems regularly with our business partners in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Information Technology, and Business Analysis Groups. Your ability to extract and analyze large data sets from our systems will be utilized regularly as you develop and monitor our inventory management system and evaluate it for improvement opportunities.

Requirements

* An experienced professional with a full understanding of inventory control in an enterprise environment
* Ability to interact with internal customers and suppliers
* Ability to remain accountable for responsibilities and deadlines
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
* US Government Position. US Citizenship Required.
* 10% domestic travel

Preferences

* Experience analyzing large data sets and use of advanced formulas in excel
* Strong understanding of Cost Accounting principles
* Experience managing cross-functional projects and driving them to completion
* College-level coursework in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, or Logistics
* APICS CPIM or comparable professional certification
* Experience working with the Oracle Inventory module and OBIEE reporting tool
* Experience in an ERP environment with super user responsibilities
* Experience working with inventory on government property projects
* Experience stocking and handling ESD/MSD sensitive materials
