As the Director of Finance, you will work closely with owners/principals & senior leaders at this Seattle-based Architectural firm founded on the idea that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture, and people and that inspire surroundings & have a positive effect on people's lives. The firm's work can be found across the globe, with projects as wide-ranging as huts to high rises, homes-often for art collectors-to academic, hospitality, cultural, and civic projects, museums and exhibition design, places of worship, creative production, urban design, and interior design.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with senior leadership and owners setting and implementing financial goals and plans for the organization.
  • Manage and coordinate month-end close and consolidation process, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparing and reviewing financial reports.
  • Develop forecasts based on historical data, current staffing, and industry trends. Monitor, research, and resolve any billing inquiries/issues from PM's and external clients.
  • Present monthly, quarterly and yearly reports to the Owners/Partners at the firm
  • Be strategic in the role and provide recommendations to help the department be efficient and the firm to reduce costs and increase profitability

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience in A/E/C industries.
  • MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
