Erus Energy LLC Houston, TX Full-Time

Erus Energy wants hard working, reliable and team oriented Installers to be a part of our Team.

The Solar Installer is responsible for working as part of our Installation team to install and connect solar energy systems for residential and commercial customers. Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions as this position generally performs work outdoors.

This position reports to the Installation Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Install solar electrical equipment (ground and roof-mounted).
  • Maintain and repair photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Operate power tools to assemble system components.
  • Complete job-related paperwork.
  • Strict adherence to company safety policies regarding fall protection, PPE, and OSHA training.
  • Must be comfortable climbing a ladder and working at heights upwards of 15 feet. Working on roofs with various slopes is a job requirement. Safety equipment is provided.
  • Travel to job sites both in-state and out-of-state. Per diem provided.
  • Conduct work within OSHA safety standards.
  • Account for materials quantity and quality onsite as well as for transport.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain PV solar systems in compliance with site assessment and schematics.
  • Strict adherence to company safety policies regarding fall protection, PPE, and OSHA training.
  • Must be comfortable climbing a ladder and working at heights upwards of 15 feet.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Good attendance required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • One (1) or more year of solar installation or construction experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Computer literacy in order to type up reports and details of customer interactions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer (keyboard and mouse), to operate a phone (desk and mobile), and to use construction equipment. The employee is also periodically required to reach, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, climb upwards of 15 feet, and crawl. The vision requirements include near and far vision along with depth perception. Moderate to heavy lifting is required (up to 75 lbs).
