Johnson Electric is now recruiting for an Associate Account Manager. This role will be reporting to our Vandalia Ohio corporate offices.  The AAM will part of our Industry Products Group and responsible for products offered to the industrial base in the Americas.  This role will grow in scope and manage a business which serves various industrial segments by working closely with many nationally recognized manufacturers in the Consumer Products, Home Technologies, Automotive and Medical Device industries.  This position is targeted as a developmental role where the candidate would have several resources and team members available to assist in development into a Key Account Manager position.

We are looking for an individual who can attract new customer relationships, as well as continue to grow existing relationships to ensure Johnson Electric (JE) is chosen source for targeted programs/projects.  This individual will be key in understanding and communicating the customer/markets needs and facilitating the solution by working collaboratively with JE’s global resources to drive the execution to win. The ideal candidate will be able to identify the right value propositions and develop value-added, profitable sales opportunities to negotiate beyond price, creatively promote value of JE solutions, and secure equitable contracts/agreements.  The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a highly energetic, fast paced, and competitive sales environment.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Execute product sales strategies and plans via internal collaboration and customer relationship management.
  • Build relationships with customers and obtain information on their market trends, value points, and satisfaction of JE service.
  • Spend time at customer sites developing relationships with various levels and disciplines; enact JE's priorities and negotiate effectively.
  • Apply financial analysis for business choices/projects and prepare various options considering short- and long-term effects.
  • Translate Voice of the Customer (VOC) input into JE product technology road maps.
  • Establish long term growth model for focus cluster or business segment charged with managing. Manage/track changes throughout the year as conditions change.
  • Translate customer forecasts and data for accurate planning and effective decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development.
  • Experience with CRM Tools
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sound leadership and communication skills. Able to drive/increase business growth. Able to distill major issues from background noise.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and reasoning skills. Understands current business financial measurement tools. Able to quickly analyze and conclude on complex data and risks.
  • Technology aptitude. Quick learner top grasp the understanding of motion systems, and able to apply knowledge/skills to advance Johnson Electric's products as solutions to customers' needs.
  • Commercially aware regarding market, products, business capability, and services. Strategic thinker on markets, products, and projects.
  • 6+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development
