We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Tax Manager to join our rapidly expanding finance team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tax policy, a knack for numbers, and the ability to think critically and strategically about complex financial scenarios. This role will oversee all aspects of tax management, including compliance, provision, and multi-state income tax returns. You will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company’s state and federal tax forms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax, finance, and management, and will be comfortable dealing with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparing and reviewing property tax returns, multi-state income tax returns, and federal audits.
  • Oversee the preparation of Use Tax, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage and facilitate the accurate preparation and filing of our company’s state and federal tax forms.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the company’s financial situation and make recommendations to senior management regarding tax strategies and policies.
  • Prepare and submit annual reports, detailing the company’s financial status, tax liabilities, and compliance measures.
  • Handle income tax payments, ensuring that all payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Oversee state audits, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage relationships with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates, ensuring that all tax matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax law and policy, and communicate these changes to senior management and relevant team members.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Proficient in Use Tax, multi-state income tax returns, Tax Compliance, Tax Provision, property tax returns, Property tax, annual reports, federal audit, State Audit, income tax payments, Income Tax Compliance.
  • Experience dealing with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
  • Strong understanding of tax code, compliance, and procedure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tax preparation software.
