A services company located in New Jersey is actively seeking a self-motivated and experienced professional to join their growing staff as their new Senior HR Generalist. In this role, the Senior HR Generalist will manage staffing processes, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.



Responsibilities



The Senior HR Generalist will:




  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts according to HR Law

  • Process payroll on a weekly basis

  • Ensure organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policies

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the organization

  • Provide support in company learning and training programs

  • Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

  • Retain historical human resource records by designing an electronic filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

  • Maintain employee benefits, vacation, and sick leave

  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Maintain and organize Employee data and records



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or 4 years of relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
