Description Do you have experience developing novel wireless communication systems? Do you want to solve critical communications challenges involving non-traditional missions for the U.S. Government? Research and develop solutions to challenging missions in the field of wireless communications by identifying and implementing approaches and algorithms for solving impactful problems. Perform communication systems engineering functions, including development of system requirements, architecture, design, prototype, test, and evaluation for systems that will be integrated into operational environments. Work with technologies including, but not limited to wired, wireless (RF & optical), line-of-sight (LOS) and beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) links, SATCOM, IP networking, RF systems, protocols, software defined radio (SDR), stealth waveforms, 5G cellular and cognitive radio. Qualifications You meet the minimum qualifications for this position if you have... A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent. At least five years of relevant experience in commercial and/or government communications and wireless systems engineering. Proficiency in radio communication theory, implementation, and digital signal processing (DSP), with a solid background in communication systems across PHY/MAC layers. The ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
