Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS)is seeking an EHS, Engineer at our aerospace manufacturing facility in Carson, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • EnsureCompliance with Health and Safety Requirements.

  • Supportslocation EHS Manager in the overall process implementation oversight.

  • Supportsdevelopment and implementation of the H&S management system.

  • Writesprocedures, administers requirements, and conducts recordkeeping.

  • Investigatesall H&S incidents.

  • Coordinatethe development of systems to ensure incidents/quarterly metrics are kept perguidelines.

  • Ensurescompliance with all H&S regularity requirements and per company standards.

  • Demonstratesknowledge of H&S Management Systems.

  • Provideoversight for effective H&S ASAT performance and ASP input.

  • Providesdirection and oversight for the respective H&S Single Point Accountable(SPA’S)

  • CoordinateH&S training programs and provides training for employees as needed.

  • Establishespermanent H&S files for all units under their control. These files mustfollow company policies and procedures for records administration andretention.

  • Participatein investigation teams as required to assure prompt, thorough incident reviewand makes appropriate corrective action recommendations.

  • Participatesin continuing professional education. This means staying current and competentin the respective H&S profession through seminars, courses, literaturereview, etc.

  • Preparesand submits reports and other required submittals as assigned to company andall local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.

  • Leadand participate on EHS Council & Committee activities.

Additional Skillsand Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general OSHARegulations


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health or OccupationalHealth & Safety

  • 3 or more years of experience in the field of healthand safety

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in theUnited States. Verification of employment. eligibility will be required at thetime of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;

  • This position is subject to the InternationalTraffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITARdefines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. GreenCard Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of experience inthe field of health and safety
