Job Description
BAE Systems Combat Vehicles site in York, Pennsylvania, is seeking Planners for Government Furnished Materials.

In this role, the Planner will assist in the accountability, processes, and procedures in the disposition of all Government owned/Furnished Material (GFM) at the York site. The Planner will work for the GFM Coordinator as part of a team of experts providing oversight and activities including process control, management and transactions of government property via life-cycle processes-including receipt, distribution, utilization, inventory control, and disposal. Provides guidance and disposition on:
  • Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL)
  • GFM Year to Date and Month to Date receipt reports
  • Creating GFM Purchase orders (PO) for York and coordination with satellite locations
  • Generating shipping paperwork from the field and rework
  • Contract Transfers between programs
  • Researching and requesting daily material transactions/material movement
  • Government Property Lost reports
  • Process reviews, training, and verifying receipt documentation

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
  • Versed in FARS and DFARS;
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal;
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail;
  • Ability to monitor/audit documents and records for accuracy and compliance to company policies and procedures;
  • Computer literate in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and other industry related softwares such as ERPs;
  • Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment;
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience working to FAR and DFARS preferred;
  • Government Property Administration experience a plus;
  • DoD background beneficial.
