Job Description

  • As a Principal Engineer, candidate will provide architectural/engineering services to customers within the central Florida region.
  • The successful candidate will be able to meet new clients, review requests for proposal, develop a sales strategy, make and give presentations, as well as prepare and review project deliverables.
  • The successful candidate will routinely demonstrate the achievement of financial and project goals, and be able to work within working groups to influence the successful project and corporation goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related Architecture or Engineering education requirements, program must be accredited.
  • Professional Registration as an Architect or Engineer preferred (equivalence will be considered)
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead a 15 to 20 person staff, comprised of direct and indirect billed personnel, through planning work conducts, using best judgement in the evaluation, selection, adaptation and modifications of procedures and criteria with professional expertise. Key areas are in government related services.
  • Demonstrate exceptional ethics and professionalism with a sense of personal conduct and demeanor.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills (written and verbally)
  • Demonstrate at least 10 years of progressive career experience/growth.
  • Must be able to satisfy a US Government background investigation and gain access to US Government Installations
  • Must be able to demonstrate their technical and program management skills and knowledge in the A-E design processes.
  • Capable of leading teams, comprising senior and junior staffs and contractors (teaming partners), toward a design solution in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Environmental and Cost Estimating efforts.
  • Capable of working in a multi-task Order Environment/Multi client environment - with competing demands on time, schedule and resources.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to forecast (propose) labor use, and monitor resource use (labor and materials) both to internal and external customers
  • Must be able to go into the field to review the contemplated work (proposed), prepare proposals, make sales presentations, project status presentations, confirm project status, confirm design suitability to existing conditions as needed, and assist in Quality Reviews
  • Primary work location: Central Florida, including Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, Orlando, and Tampa.
  • Travel is expected at between 20% and 40%.
  • Must be able to supervisor personnel and contractors to ensure overall expectations are satisfied.
  • Candidates must be able to satisfy requirements for pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check.
