Systems Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Business Unit functions in Client's Enterprise Infrastructure Group. The role involves operational support for infrastructure, cloud enablement, platform engineering, incident management, and deployments. You will leverage your technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions, maintain system stability, and provide critical production support. Working within an evolving technology stack, you will also have opportunities to learn and implement new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technology environment stability and availability.

• Apply ITIL practices to ensure effective IT service management.

• Utilize DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles in project execution.

• Collaborate in Agile software development and delivery projects.

• Conduct network diagnostics using tools like ping, traceroute, and DNS routing.

• Administer search and analytics engines such as Splunk and ELK.

• Manage Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Design workflows, analyze data, and identify requirements/specifications.

• Work with cloud-based technologies, including SaaS solutions for cloud providers.

• Implement container orchestration with Kubernetes.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies.

• Automate tasks using PowerShell and Python scripting.

• Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Node.js, or Java.

• Support production systems using tools like ServiceNow, Udeploy, and Jenkins.

• Troubleshoot production issues effectively and provide on-call support for environments.

• Work with Docker, cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ITIL practices, Agile methodologies, and DevOps/SRE principles.

• Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, and programming languages like JavaScript or Java.

• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Familiarity with network diagnostics and analytics tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Udeploy).

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to provide 24x7 production support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of F5 or AVI technologies.

• AWS certification.

• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
