Directly reporting to the Nursing Director of ICU is a CCRN Certified ICU Nurse Manager, a team of tenured Critical Care RNs, Nursing Assistants, and other ancillary staff. This fast-paced 10-bed Intensive Care Unit has a tight-knit critical care team and provides essential care to a patient population suffering from a wide range of diagnoses including diabetes, CIWA, drug overdose, and surgical patients. Aside from leading the experienced and tenured Nurses and Physician leaders, the Nursing Director of ICU will have the opportunity to cultivate and mentor new staff into highly competent critical care healthcare providers.The Nursing Director of ICU will work closely with other Nurse Leaders including the ICU Nurse Manager, CNO, and CEO to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of care within the assigned department. The Director will be responsible for the evaluation of clinical competencies, educational development, and the quality of the provision of care. In addition, the Director will maintain a fiscally-responsible attitude in preparing the budget and provide ongoing feedback to staff regarding performance. The Nursing Director of ICU will create an environment where patients can heal and staff can grow in their profession.
