Summary:

The System Verification Engineer II will develop and execute automated test scripts as well as manual test procedures for System Verification projects (new development and sustaining). Projects include verification of system-level requirements and/or system robustness testing. Review automated test scripts written by other test developers.  Document test results and defects discovered through the execution of automated or manual tests. Work closely with on-site and offshore test developers as well as the software development team to understand system hardware and software interfaces. Analyze/audit test results for active projects. Support the enhancement/development of an automated test framework/toolset and use of spreadsheets to support manual testing. Support early System Verification testing based on an understanding of system features for software, firmware, and hardware.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze existing test scripts and make necessary updates
  • Review automated test scripts written by other test developers
  • Review system-level requirements for accuracy and testability
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts and manual test procedures per established processes
  • Document test framework requirements, design, and test scripts
  • Utilize spreadsheets to support manual test procedures
  • Accountable and able to complete tasks on time by taking ownership for all task assignments
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system

Knowledge and Experience:

  • BS in Computer or Electrical Engineering and minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Working knowledge of developing, modifying, and executing automated test scripts
  • Developing, modifying and executing manual test procedures
  • Ability to recognize and document defects in given defect tracking system
  • Basic understanding of product development from concept to release including test life cycle
  • Understanding of white, grey, and black box test principles
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)
  • Programming knowledge in object-oriented language (e.g. Java, C++, Python or Ruby)
  • Some exposure to software management / source control systems (Git BitBucket, Subversion, etc.)
  • Flexibility in work hours required to meet program completion dates
  • Basic understanding of computer network principles
  • Experience and/or training in an ISO, FDA, or other regulated industry (Desired)

Salary and Benefits:

  • $78,000 - $97,000 depending on experience + annual bonus opportunity

    • Fujifilm matches 50 cents for every dollar you contribute, up to 6% of your salary

  • Employee Choice Holidays:
    • Four (4) additional paid days off, based on date of hire in the calendar year
  • Paid Holidays:
    • Seven (7) paid holidays per year
