A great hospital in sunny Georgia is looking for an Emergency Charge Nurse to join their well respected Emergency Department leadership team. The Emergency Charge RN will have their Bachelor's Degree, at least 3 years of Emergency Department Nursing experience, and a passion for nurse leadership. The ED Charge Nurse will supervise staff and oversee the daily operations of the unit during their shift. The ED Charge Nurse will work three, 12 hour shifts per week from 12:00 pm - 12:00 am. The Emergency Charge Nurse will coordinate unit staffing and will assist in preparing for regulatory agency reviews.
The Emergency Charge RN will work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including physicians, administrators, risk management, and more. The Charge RN will take patients when needed and will serve as a role model to the emergency nursing unit staff.
The Emergency Charge RN will have the support of afternoon and night Nurse Managers, as well as tenured Nurse Educators for each shift. The typical nurse to patient ratio in the ED is 3:1 and they have been consistently awarded for their achievements in stroke and STEMI care, as well as for their door to provider times!
